These tropical tiki umbrella covers (sometimes called mexican raincapes) are made from actual palm leaves and are the easiest and most affordable way to create the look of authentic palm thatching. The backside is an open diamond weave.
If you reside in a wet, humid climate, the lifespan is approximately 1-2 years. The thatch umbrella cover will last about 4-5 years in hot, dry climates, and longer if being used seasonally only. They will last indefinitely if used indoors or in sheltered areas. Your thatch umbrella cover should be put away during the winter months.
Easy to put together, no special skills or tools required. Just fit the tiki umbrella cover right over your existing 9 ft. market umbrella frame or canopy. (Suggestion -Use an umbrella with wooden slats as the metal ones may bend under the weight of thatch cover). We do not FIRE PROOF this product. We feel that it is best left to the professionals.
